Handicare 1100: the slimmest straight stairlift

The 1100’s strong yet super slim line rail is the narrowest on the market so it obscures less of your stairs than any other straight stairlift system. With its compact design and grease free rail, the 1100 blends in nicely with your interior and is a breeze to keep clean.

Slim: stylish compact design

The Handicare 1100 is ultra slim and compact and can be placed close to the wall, leaving a lot of free space on the staircase for other stair users to safely climb the stairs. It’s the slimmest straight stairlift rail on the market! To save even more space, the stairlift seat, footrest and armrests can be folded when not in use. The seat will swivel at the top landing, making sure you can get on and off the stairlift easily and safely. Also, the 1100 comes as standard with safety sensors that will stop the lift in case of obstruction.

Smart: clean and tidy

Due to the patented technology, there is no tooth rack on the Handicare 1100. This means that unlike other stairlifts, there is no grease or oil on the rail collecting dust and dirt, making the rail easy to clean and safe to touch. Your staircase will stay spick and span!

Safe: strong and reliable

The robust 1100 is powered by Handicare's patented four wheel drive technology with four quiet and reliable motors. In the unfortunate and rare event one of the motors breaks down, you can still finish your ride up or down the stairs. The lift is fully certified by the international stairlift safety standard EN 81-40 and designed for years and years of carefree daily use. Thanks to the continuous charge functionality you can park the seat anywhere you like on the rail: the batteries are always charged and ready to go.
The 1100 is suitable for users up to max. 140kg.

Zero Intrusion: A unique solution designed for home with a door at the top of the stairs. Or where the stairlift could be a possible tripping hazard at the top of the stairs.

Slide Track: Automatically moves the track clear of any obstacles while the stairlift moves into a parked position making it ideal for hallways where access is required through doorways close to the staircase.

Easy Hinge: The track can be folded away from the doorway manually, giving clear access.

Zero Intrusion

The footplate of your stairlift will finish equal to the top or bottom of the stairs. There's no need to step off the footplate, all you need to do is swiveling your seat, making it easy to get safely on the landing.

Zero intrusion eliminates the rail overrun, allowing you to install a Handicare 1100 stairlift with no modifications made to your home. Also the perfect solution for basement stairs and underground garages.

Slide Track

A Slide Track is slightly shorter than the length of your staircase. When you start to travel up the staircase the track will move with you. The track will reach the top of your stairs before the stairlift, it will stop whilst your stairlift continues on its journey to the top where you can safely dismount. When you come downstairs the track will travel down with you so you can dismount safely at the bottom.

The Slide Track has safety sensors at both ends, these will stop the track if it encounters an obstacle during use. Your stairlift will continue to move towards the obstacle if desired where, if safe to do so, you can remove the obstruction and continue your journey. Alternatively the track and stairlift can be moved away from the obstruction.

Easy Hinge

In order for the seat to get low enough for the user to sit on, it is necessary for the track to extend beyond the staircase to the lower floor level. Or in some cases, there may be a doorway close to the bottom of the stairs and the track may intrude across this. In these circumstances the Easy Hinge should be installed. This means that the track will be folded away from the doorway giving clear access.

The Easy Hinge rail allows for the bottom portion of the rail to be lifted up out of the way of any doorways or passageways when the stairlift is not in use. The Easy Hinge has a built-in gas spring, designed to make manual operation as easy as possible.
